A journey into colour
Hi sewing friends, thank you for being here!
I want to share with you the wonderfully soothing process of Foundation Paper Piecing.
It’s funny, I really dislike ironing clothes, but I just LOVE pressing these FPP seams super flat and CRISP. I’ll admit (because we’re all friends here) sometimes I press them again just for fun ❤️
And of course, who doesn’t love choosing fabric… collating fabric… touching fabric… the crisp sound of scissors cutting fabric… drool! 🤤
When my daughter was tiny I didn’t get to relax with creative projects, in fact I felt like all my creativity had been drained. Then we started playing with crayons. She just LOVED scribbling COLOUR everywhere! We filled paper with every colour we could cram on. We made whole pages of single coloured swirls, and we covered every inch of wall with pictures of rainbows. I felt the colour ❤️
And I wanted to be IN it. MORE. So I started creating this 7 Chakra pattern series, to spend time immersed in the colour.
Then I combined all this with years of experience designing printed documents and print templates for 3D packaging products. And here are the results: accurate and easy to follow FPP patterns that I can’t wait to share with you, and see what YOU create ❤️
Thanks for reading
