ECLIPSE SEASON PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy explains how and when Eclipse Season collects, uses and shares personal information when you purchase an item, contact the shop or otherwise use Eclipse Season’s services through Etsy.

This policy applies only to Eclipse Season. It does not apply to Etsy or other third-party services that I do not own or control. You can review Etsy’s Privacy Policy at https://www.etsy.com/legal/privacy/.

INFORMATION I COLLECT

To complete your order, Etsy provides me with certain information, which may include your name, email address, postal address, telephone number, order details and information required to prepare or personalize your product.

For personalized products, you may choose to provide additional information such as names, dates, wording, photographs or other customization details through Etsy Messages or the personalization field.

Etsy processes your payment. I do not receive or store your complete credit-card, bank-account or other payment credentials.

If you voluntarily send photographs or videos of a finished product, I will use them in my shop or on social media only when you have clearly given me permission to do so.

WHY I NEED YOUR INFORMATION AND HOW I USE IT

I collect, use and share personal information only when reasonably necessary:

• To process, create, personalize, fulfill and deliver your order
• To communicate with you about your purchase
• To provide customer service and resolve order problems or disputes
• To comply with Etsy’s Seller Policy and Terms of Use
• To prevent fraud, protect the security of my shop and enforce my agreements
• To maintain business, tax and legal records
• To comply with a legal obligation, court order or government request
• To improve my products and customer service when my legitimate business interests do not override your privacy rights
• When you have given affirmative consent for a specific purpose, which you may withdraw at any time

I do not use the contact information supplied with an Etsy purchase to send independent advertising or promotional messages unless you have expressly agreed to receive them.

INFORMATION SHARING AND DISCLOSURE

Customer information is important to my business, and I share it only for limited business purposes and in limited circumstances:

Etsy: I share information with Etsy as necessary to provide my services and comply with Etsy’s Seller Policy and Terms of Use.

Production and fulfilment partners: Physical products may be produced and fulfilled through Printify and disclosed third-party print providers. I share only the information needed to manufacture, personalize, package and deliver the product, such as the recipient’s name, shipping address and applicable order details.

Delivery companies: Shipping carriers receive the information required to deliver and track physical orders.

Service providers: I may use trusted service providers to support essential business functions. These providers receive information only to the extent necessary to perform their services.

Legal compliance: I may collect, use, retain or disclose information when I reasonably believe it is necessary to respond to legal proceedings or government requests; enforce my agreements and policies; prevent or investigate fraud, security concerns or illegal activity; or protect the rights, property and safety of my customers or others.

Business transfers: If Eclipse Season is sold, merged or reorganized, customer information may be disclosed as part of that transaction where permitted by law.

I do not sell or rent customer personal information.

DATA RETENTION

I retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide my services, resolve disputes, enforce agreements and meet legal, tax and regulatory requirements.

Canadian business and transaction records are generally retained for six years from the end of the tax year to which they relate. Personalization files, customer photographs and other information that are not required for business or legal records may be deleted sooner when they are no longer needed.

INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Eclipse Season is based in Canada, and physical products for United States customers may be fulfilled through production partners located in the United States. Personal information may therefore be processed in Canada, the United States or another country in which Etsy or an applicable service provider operates.

These countries may have privacy and government-access laws that differ from those in your country. Where required, transfers are made only as necessary to perform your order or through service providers that use appropriate lawful safeguards.

INFORMATION SECURITY

I take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the personal information under my control and limit access to those who need it to fulfill orders or provide services. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including:

Access: You may request information about the personal data I hold about you and ask for a copy.

Correction: You may ask me to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information.

Deletion or restriction: You may ask me to delete or restrict my use of your personal information, subject to information I must retain for legal, tax, security or dispute-resolution purposes.

Objection: You may object to certain uses of your information based on legitimate business interests.

Consent: Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal will not affect processing already completed lawfully.

Complaint: You may raise a concern with me or, where applicable, submit a complaint to your local privacy or data-protection authority, including the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
