I am a scientist by training but an artist at heart. Soapmaking appeals to both my creative and analytical mind. I love how you can create practical objects that please the aesthetic senses. I also love that soapmaking involves chemistry (saponification reaction of fats and lye).
Over the past few years, I have become more interested in organic foods, natural skincare products and overall healthy living. Having sensitive skin, I struggled with finding appropriate commercial products that did not irritate my skin. As a result, I decided to formulate my own products.
My background in chemistry and pharmaceutical development enables me to develop soap and body care products that are of the best possible quality and rival commercially made high-end product. I use the highest quality ingredients and carefully screen my raw materials suppliers. Ecoviolet soap, bath and body products are handcrafted in small batches with much care and attention to detail. Art and science are combined to create a beautiful and luxurious bar of soap.
