My journey with egg art began in my native Poland; as a young child, I remember when each year before Easter, we decorated eggs as gifts to the special people around us. I brought this tradition with me to the US 30 years ago when I came here and established my own family. When people start asking me if I can sell the eggs so they can give them to their special people, EggstrArt Studio was born. I am personally responsible for every aspect of this shop: designing, creating, photographing, communication, packaging, and shipping out. Each egg is individually decorated, and I pay great attention to detail and to perfecting the finish on my pieces.
My collection includes traditional and contemporary designs on a variety of eggshells ranging from quail to ostrich.
In addition to the eggs, I create eco-friendly jewelry and framed egg art. Also, I offer supplies for making drop pull pysanky. I use these supplies in my studio; they have been designed and made by me, and their quality and comfort reflects many years of experience.

Drop-Pull Pysanky Technique
To create the eggs, I use the drop-pull method, which is my family tradition from Poland. In this method a simple pin stylus is used as a tool. The head of the pin is dipped into hot wax which is applied on the eggshell. I use wax-embossed and wax-resist techniques; I also add elements of carving to my wax-embossed eggs.

All of the work available here is created at my home studio in the northern suburb of Chicago.
