Hand Painted Orthodox Christian Signs
🤍ABOUT ELENI SIGNS 🤍
My name is Fatin and I am an Orthodox Christian. My heart is most happy when mindfully hand lettering and painting the signs in my shop. The Orthodox Christian Faith calls us to be beacons of light in the world, as our Lord Jesus Christ is. The word Eleni in Greek means, “Ray of Light.” I hope you find that here!

🤍THE INSPIRATION BEHIND THE NAME AND SHOP 🤍
Hello! I’d like to share more of the inspiration behind Eleni Signs.
The story starts like this. It's through trials sent to us that we see that the Lord is the ultimate planner when, in prayer, we can yield to His perfect timing for parenting or any situation.
A few years ago, it was put on our hearts to name our next child Daniel if we ever had another boy.
We felt ready to grow our family that year, and were pregnant quickly, but divine timing stepped in on who we were meant to keep.
The heartbeat of our little one stopped at around 10 weeks—and I found out during a routine ultrasound. My doctor was taking a long time to scan and immediately I thought, “Something is wrong, but Lord I trust you.”
The following weeks were rough; I shed tears and I prayed quietly.
A month after the loss, I was in San Francisco for a work event and fortunate to be able to visit the relics of St. John Maximovich. My visit came under the advice of the Abbess of a monastery very dear to my heart (forever), whom I visited with shortly after the loss.
I poured out my heart to St. John that if it were aligned with God’s will for our family, that we would get pregnant again.
That night a little girl visited me in my dream and she asked me a question. Our dear priest, who had prayed for the soul of our loss was also in my dream and so was a reference to St. Demetrios.
I won’t go into more detail, but one month later we were pregnant again, by God’s grace.
The baby’s due date—the feast day of the Holy Prophet Daniel—although he arrived eight weeks early on the Eve of the Feast Day of St. Demetrios.
We gave Daniel the middle name John, as a tribute to St. John, and for what I believe in my heart was his intercessions for our “gift”.
I started and named Eleni Signs for the little girl who was in my dream. I don’t know who she was except for who I believe she was in my heart, but I believe she was my “Ray of Light,” after which blessings followed by grace that I was and still am greatly unworthy of.
Motherhood is a gift. 🤍
I hope to continue to grow Eleni Signs, naturally and unforced, in a direction that continues to bring Glory to God and His presence—which is closer to us than our own breath if we can only humble ourselves in our broken nature to conceive it.
