The Creative Process
First, I start painting a variety of hand painted abstract watercolor paintings. I use high quality Winsor & Newton watercolours and pure clean water to get vibrant colors on thick water color paper.
Once the paintings are dry I will scan each individually for a high quality file image and then each painted image will be digitally enhanced slightly. These will be the "Master color palette" in digital format.
I will then use Adobe Photoshop software to create the final silhouette artworks, the process starts with hand cropping each silhouette image that I buy or research online individually. I then proceed to create the final artwork with the suitable watercolor paintings I've initially done.
I love working with animal silhouettes the most but I also work with a variety of silhouettes and subjects. Once I'm happy with the results, I will save the finalised artwork file and do a test print. When I'm happy with the results of the final print, I'll then list the artwork for sale in my Etsy shop.
