Então... como uma loja como essa começa?
Bem, no meu caso, tudo começou com um quebra-cabeça. É, só um. Eu tinha redescoberto o amor por quebra-cabeças e percebi como era bom ter algo prático e gratificante para fazer. Então pensei: "Por que não fazer um eu mesmo?"
Criei uma fênix de fogo matadora usando o Midjourney e estava pronto para imprimi-la. Um amigo sugeriu que eu experimentasse o Printify — e, de repente, caí na toca do coelho. Em um dia, passei de "Quero um quebra-cabeça" para "Ei, agora estou vendendo canecas e camisetas!"
Em algum lugar no meio do caos, minha esposa (a verdadeira MVP) disse: "Por que não tentar sublimar seus próprios quebra-cabeças?". Naturalmente, eu ainda não tinha feito aquele quebra-cabeça da fênix... mas comecei a sublimar copos. Porque... por que não? Próximo passo totalmente lógico.
Aí está a surpresa — eu adorei. Ver os sorrisos de amigos, familiares e clientes? Isso me emocionou mais do que a fênix de fogo jamais conseguiria. Já fiz centenas de copos até agora e, em algum momento, pensei: "Ok, finalmente chegou a hora do quebra-cabeça!"
Então, é claro… comprei uma máquina de corte a laser.
Como trabalho com madeira desde o ensino fundamental (cheguei a construir o berço do meu filho mais novo à mão), imaginei que esse seria finalmente o meu momento de quebra-cabeça. Mas não. Ainda não. Acontece que cortar a laser presentes, enfeites e peças gravadas personalizadas é ainda mais divertido — e muito mais gratificante.
Então aqui estamos.
O que começou com um simples quebra-cabeça se transformou em algo muito melhor: a chance de criar alegria, uma peça feita à mão de cada vez. Se minha loja te oferece algo que te faz sorrir — bem, essa é a melhor peça de quebra-cabeça de todas.
So… how does a shop like this get started?
Well, in my case — it all started with a jigsaw puzzle. Yep, just one. I’d rediscovered a love for puzzles, and realized how good it felt to have something hands-on and satisfying to do. So I thought, “Why not make one myself?”
I designed a killer fire phoenix using Midjourney and was all set to get it printed. A friend suggested I try Printify — and just like that, I tumbled down the rabbit hole. Within a day, I went from “I want a puzzle” to “Hey, I’m selling mugs and T-shirts now!”
Somewhere in the chaos, my wife (the real MVP) said, “Why not try sublimating your own puzzles?” Naturally, I still hadn’t made that phoenix puzzle… but I did start sublimating tumblers instead. Because… why not? Totally logical next step.
Here’s the twist — I loved it. Seeing the smiles from friends, family, and customers? That lit me up more than the fire phoenix ever could. I’ve made hundreds of tumblers by now, and somewhere along the way I thought, “Okay, it’s finally puzzle time!”
So, of course… I bought a laser cutter.
Since I’ve been woodworking since junior high (I even built my youngest son’s crib by hand), I figured this would finally be my puzzle moment. But nope. No puzzle yet. Turns out, laser cutting custom gifts, ornaments, and engraved pieces is even more fun — and way more fulfilling.
So here we are.
What started with a simple puzzle turned into something way better: the chance to create joy, one handmade piece at a time. If my shop gives you something that makes you smile — well, that’s the best puzzle piece of all.
