Crochet runs in my family. My grandmother crocheted. My aunt still does. My mom does both — she's the one who put needles in my hands and taught me to knit. Nobody sat me down and taught me crochet, though. I picked it up myself, watching them, working it out stitch by stitch until it clicked.
That's probably why I write patterns the way I do. I know what it's like to stare at an instruction that assumes you already know something, and I would rather over-explain than leave you guessing. Ember Loop Creations grew out of that: a stubborn belief that a beautiful pattern should also be a clear one.
Today the shop is home to original digital crochet patterns for cosplay and renaissance faire accessories, Halloween and seasonal décor, wearables, and small enchanted things for the home. Alongside those sit witch capes, monster trick-or-treat bags, pumpkin patch sets, baby sets, bookmarks, and market bags.
Every pattern is designed, written, and physically crocheted by me before it is ever listed. I work each one on the hook, measure real gauge, and correct anything that fights back. If a stitch count is wrong, I find it while I'm making it — not after you've bought it.
That testing shapes how the patterns are written. Each PDF includes a beginner skill guide explaining every technique used, US crochet terms throughout, schematics paired with real progress photos, checkpoints so you can confirm your work as you go, and a troubleshooting section for the moments when something doesn't look right. Materials, yardage, gauge, and finished measurements are listed up front so you know exactly what you're getting into before you make your first chain.
