¡Hola! Bienvenido a Embroidery Design Cafe. ¡Estoy tan contento de que hayas pasado por allí!
Soy Evelina, la señora detrás de EDC. Creo todos los diseños que se encuentran aquí. Me metí en el bordado justo después de que naciera mi segunda hija. Siempre he sido astuta y creativa, así que el bordado realmente me interesó. Así que compré mi primera máquina... luego mi segundo. ¡Realmente despegó! Estaba creando diseños y luego cosiendo / bordando hasta altas horas de la madrugada. Al principio estaba cosiendo para amigos y familiares. Entonces alguien mencionó que debería vender mis artículos en Etsy. En ese momento (2009), sabía que estaba en cuclillas sobre Etsy. Así que después de trolear y tener la idea de lo que era Etsy, ¡nació mi tienda de Etsy!
Avance rápido un par de años ... ¡esta mamá estaba OCUPADA! Vendía camisas bordadas, batas, baberos, mantas, sombreros, pinzas para chupetes, paños para eructar, bolsas de pañales, fundas para pañales... lo que sea, ¡lo estaba haciendo! Pero la cosa era que tenía un esposo, dos niñas pequeñas Y un trabajo a tiempo completo. Entonces, literalmente estaba cosiendo en mi "estudio" (también conocido como el comedor) desde aproximadamente las 8 p.m. hasta las 3 a.m. todos los días. Cosía después de la cena cuando las chicas estaban dormidas, y luego todos los fines de semana. Me estaba perdiendo... bueno, VIDA. Algo tenía que cambiar.
Mi parte favorita de lo que hice fue diseñar. Me encantó inspirarme y luego convertir mis ideas en bordados digitales. Fue entonces cuando decidí cambiar mi negocio para ofrecer diseños de bordado digital para que la gente los compre, los descargue y luego los cose en sus máquinas de bordar.

I'm Evelina, the lady behind EDC. I create all the designs found here. I got into embroidery right after my second daughter was born. I've always been crafty and creative, so embroidery really interested me. So I bought my first machine...then my second. It really took off! I was creating designs then sewing/embroidering 'til the wee hours of the morning. I was sewing for friends and family at first. Then someone mentioned that I should sell my items on Etsy. At that time (2009), I knew squat about Etsy. So after trolling around and getting the idea about what Etsy was all about, my Etsy shop was born!
Fast forward a couple years...this mama was BUSY! I was selling embroidered shirts, gowns, bibs, blankets, hats, pacifier clips, burp cloths, diaper bags, diaper covers...you name it, I was making it! But the thing was, I had a husband, two little girls AND a full-time job. So, I was literally sewing in my "studio" (a.k.a. the dining room) from about 8pm to 3am everyday. I would sew after dinner when the girls were asleep, and then every weekend. I was missing out on...well, LIFE. Something had to change.
My favorite part of what I did was designing. I loved getting inspired and then turning my ideas into digital embroidery. That's when I decided to change my business to offering digital embroidery designs for people to purchase, download then stitch out themselves on their embroidery machines.
