Stoneware pottery with natural elements

  • Carving into slip (scraffito) on one of my petal vases. My work is all hand drawn and decorated with my own designs.
  • Agate ware cups. Mixed coloured clays that are swirled together on the potter's wheel.
  • A fluted cream and sugar set in white glaze. A ceramic spoon was made to fit in the sugar pot.
  • Agate ware moustache mug.
  • Barware is new in my shop with shot glasses, and whiskey tumblers. The set of four cups wears four different glazes.

Custom and personalized orders

I enjoy making personalized orders and made to order work but, it does take time. With custom orders I also make two pieces and send the best of the two works.
****Pottery is an ancient process with many steps ****
Pieces are formed at a wet stage, dried for several days, fired in the bisque kiln for 10 hours, coated with glazes and hand decorated, and then fired a second time in a glaze kiln. The pieces are fired in a kiln that is full with many other pottery pieces. This ensures an even temperature is achieved inside the kiln. I quote 4-6 weeks for a custom order.

Care instructions

My stoneware pottery is microwave and dishwasher safe.
Please avoid extreme temperature changes and the freezer.
