My mom asked me when I first started my blog and opened my Etsy shop why I chose the name Emerging Em. I think the name aptly describes the phase of life I'm in right now, as I am not only emerging as a new blogger and crafter, violinist and teacher, but also as a person. I hope the name continues to describe me, as I am always striving to learn and create new things. I'm inspired by fashion, color, and the people around me as well as architecture and nature. I'm also inspired by what I can do - like knitting, tatting, and sewing - and combining those skills in new and creative ways.
