Frequently asked questions

Q: How is the portrait applied to the mug?

A: After shaping the mug on the wheel, we first bisque-fire it at 600°C to prepare the surface. Then, using natural ceramic glazes, we hand-paint your custom portrait directly onto the mug. Finally, it’s fired again at a high temperature of 1300°C, creating a design that is not only beautiful, but also permanent and safe for everyday use.

Q: Is the raised glaze easy to damage?

A: No. After being fired at a high temperature of 1300°C, the raised glaze becomes fully fused with the mug itself. As long as it’s not subjected to strong impact or heavy knocking, it will remain intact and beautiful for years to come.

Q: What if the mug arrives damaged during shipping?

A: In most cases, our secure packaging ensures the mug arrives safely. However, if it does arrive damaged, we’ve got you covered — we can create a brand new replacement for you, or issue a full refund. Your satisfaction is our priority.
