Guided by craft; love creates adventure.
Lorenda was taught to sew by her mother in her early years. Most of her life, she was too busy to put needle to thread. In the recent years, she found a new direction and took up sewing once again. She aims to share her love of sewing with the world. She became inspired to create hats when a loved one was diagnosed with melanoma skin cancer. This loved one loved the hat so much, Lorenda decided to create this business to share her creations to the world. Lorenda finds the importance of life lived adventurously and by all means necessary, she is aiming to help those foreign and domestic in achieving that vision.
Chris developed his aspirations for wood working in his young school days. His first project blended the beauty of mahogany and pine to create a wooden chess board. Ever since then, his love for wood craft has grown. Over the years, he has improved his skills while keeping all ten fingers.;) The connectivity that this shop provides with places across the world amazes Chris and inspires him to create more, craft more, and improve his expertise. Living in the Pacific Northwest provides Chris with plenty of material and a stimulus from nature. His vision for this shop is to bring out the full beauty of the wood and give to others an element of nature handcrafted to fit anyone's home or lifestyle.
Chris and Lorenda met whilst dive training in northern Nevada slightly over two decades ago. They fell in love rather quickly and from there on have been a strong couple. Through their adventures in the wilderness and the need of warmth, a need for a balaclava had arisen. When the shop opened, it was only a matter of time before a hand designed balaclava was fashioned. Lorenda and Chris work on their projects independently but together they run this business. Together they have an aligned vision for the future through the sharing of nature and loving warmth.
