The Birth of The Eden Plant Company
I've always had an affinity... okay, and OBSESSION with anything green. I went through a phase in my teens where I would only grow things that I considered "useful." So think vegetables, fruits, etc. But as I grew older, I discovered an appreciation for the beauty of flowers. Tulips, roses, daffodils, zinnias, dahlias, peonies (my absolute favorites!), you name it and I've grown it.
But it wasn't until the pandemic and quarantine that I really started to delve into the depths of houseplants. I used to keep 90% of my plants outdoors, but being mostly locked inside I really wanted to bring nature inside with me. And thank God I did, because my plants gave me a real sense of stability when the world was seemingly crumbling around me. Having a routine of plant care kept me busy, and the sense of accomplishment watching my plants grow kept my spiritual cup filled to the brim.
I worked at Disneyland in the character department before the pandemic shut the world down, and I'm still waiting for my phone call from the Mouse to call me back home, but for now, I've decided to share the bounty overflowing from my garden.
