For every nature and outdoors lover
I have been doing artwork and photography for awhile now and recently started making jewelry. I had made a pair of the upcycled fly fishing fly earrings and wore them to a fisheries conference and boy, the women there went nuts! I ended up making a few pairs and decided to try to sell them on Etsy. I also donate a lot of artwork, prints, jewelry, and cards to various organizations (Audubon Society, Sierra Club, Wildlife Federation, etc etc) and had many people ask for custom orders. Well, that is when I broadened my etsy page. Speaking of my etsy page, you're probably wondering why EquusFancy. I wanted another name but it was already taken but for you that don't know me, I am very passionate about horses. I don't mean I like them. It is beyond that. I am extremely passionate about wild horses. I have plans to add more horse art and photos but Equus is the species of the scientific name of the Feral (Wild) horse. Yes, I know, I'm a nerd, but hey, we all have our interests. But why have an etsy shop when I have a job and a passion? Well.....
I'm getting out of the Army guard and wanted something to fill that void. Plus, I love unique, nature-outdoorsy jewelry and I know there are plenty of people out there that do as well.
My "shop" is my little craft room, where I can go to get away from the world if I can't get out fishing or hiking. I suffer from an Army injury so I can't run as much as I used to so I have focused on walking and creating. I enjoy the happiness and excitement that my items bring. My aim is not to really make money but to provide something unique and nature-ly gratifying.
