Eraloom

When I was an adolescent, art was always my poetry and my passion. It was a means of
expression, so much that I began to study painting, still life drawing, and furniture design.
In 2012, I moved into an apartment in downtown Long Beach, CA as I sat on the floor of an
empty living room with white walls, I looked around and imaged creating a space that
reflected the true essence of myself. So I began to shop around, but all I found was
everyday cookie cutter furnishings. I wanted pieces that were timeless and unique, yet still
comfortable. After a month of endless searching, I began a quest to cultivate the lost art
of unique upholstery design. Once I mastered upholstery, I decided to use furniture as my
platform to create art.
We at Eraloom, devise art using antique furniture; preserving the authenticity, while
expanding new realms in the culture of furniture. We embrace the original character of
each piece, allowing the structure to be an inspiration. Each piece is accompanied by bold
combinations; combining contrasting stitching, hand painted patterns, along with plush
textures.
Eraloom creates furniture that adheres to the past for those who appreciates and
desires an eclectic collection. We have an eccentric take on tradition placing emphasis on
durability, intricate detail, and simplicity. Each piece is one of a kind, designed by its
creator, Nia Moore. Some call it functioning art, others call them conversation pieces, we
like to refer to it as a new way to sit as we craft the illusion of time. Typically art is
admired on a wall in a glass box, we invite you to have a seat on our canvas as we create a
new wave of designed furnishings .
We are based out of Los Angeles, CA and ship pieces across the globe. Eraloom encourages
