What is junk to some, is treasure to others
Hello & welcome! ♡
I'm Daria, a dog lover, graphic designer and eco enthusiast from Switzerland. Through drastic life events in the past few years, I discovered the love of sewing. As my sewing projects became more ambitious and my fabric purchases larger, one day a bad feeling crept over me...
Instead of buying new fabrics by the yard, I decided to focus on strategies of upcycling and reuse. True to the motto "from trash to treasure" I started to work with fabric leftovers and secondhand textiles. More and more regularly, I rummaged through thrift stores and also specifically went in search of high quality fabrics from overproduction.
Upcycling is on everyone's lips; but just talking isn't enough.... When I transform pre-loved textiles and fabric overstocks into luxury dog carriers and beds, I give a second life to raw materials with character. Because actually, we all know it, that we need to be more economical with our resources.
Each of my creations tells a unique story. Reworking existing textiles is time-consuming, but it allows me to create refined unique pieces for your four-legged friend. My affinity for colors, forms and textures, shaped by my work as a graphic designer, always proves helpful in this process of remodeling and redesigning. Because sometimes it can be quite tricky to put together a small textile work of art from different leftover materials...
And hey! So if you have an old bag or a tattered favorite pair of pants lying around unworn: get in touch with me; I love creative textile challenges!
