The Essential Pendant Process:
Each pendant is made of 100% pure porcelain & individually thrown on the potter’s wheel by Tim McMullen, owner and co-founder of Silica Studios. They are then slow-dried, hand-cured, hand-drilled, and fired twice in a high-fire gas kiln.
Each firing is a three day process. The first firing is a bisque fire which is 1800 degrees. The second firing is the glaze fire at 2381 degrees. The high-fire temperature brings out the full potential of the porcelain ensuring the highest quality and durability of our pendants. ONLY in a high-fire will you achieve the rich, beautiful colors & durability of our pendants. They are truly one-of-a-kind.
Our pendants can be worn independently or along with essential oils to use as an essential oil diffuser. The oil may be applied directly to the pendant.
*A sample bottle of therapeutic grade essential oil will be included with each purchase.
