Hi! My name's Janine and welcome to my shop - Evan Isabel! Ever since I pierced my ears in junior high I've LOVED wearing earrings! And the older I got, the more important it was to me to wear earrings that not only looked good... but felt good!
I'm a little late to the polymer clay and leather & cork earring game but I'm here now! I discovered leather & cork earrings about 2 years ago and have never looked back. And I discovered clay earrings a year ago. I donated almost all of my NON leather, NON cork, NON clay earrings because even though some were fun and cute... most were very heavy on my ears. And nothing is worse than your ear lobe being pulled on when you're just trying to look cute! Over the past 2 years I've been growing my leather & cork and clay earring collection by accident because I am OBSESSED with how cute, lightweight and fun they are! When looking at my collection of earrings I said to myself "I need to start making my own because there are so many color combinations & styles I want to have but no one is making” and while looking on Etsy for more earings to buy (it's a sickness, LOL) I found this whole world of how to make your own leather earrings & clay earrings. There was different colors & types of leathers and cork fabrics and earring connectors and beads and dies.... it was endless. And I already had a dedicated Craft Room in my house that actually housed TWO leather cutting machines. I only ever used them for fabric and paper before not even realizing I could cut leather. Once I realized I already had the most expensive tools I needed to make my own earrings - I bought some scrap leathers & cork and started practicing. While practicing and honing my earring making skills, I applied for all of my permits and licensing....and now, almost a full year later, I'm opening my own earring shop on Etsy - EVAN ISABEL. And here I sell earrings that I myself WANT to wear! The color combos I WANT to have. Earrings that I WANT to buy! That are BEAUTIFUL, FUN, LIGHTWEIGHT and affordable. And I love doing it as my newest side hussle. The options for designs are endless and I'm obsessed with making them - for me and for YOU. And I hope that you love them as much as I do.
