Handmade Notebooks

Please note that all my notebooks are handmade and made to order, unless otherwise stated. As such, the exact image on linen covers or piece of leather used will vary. Leather is a natural product and can often have marks on it from its previous use and adds to its character and authenticity.

Gift wrapping and packaging

All the plastic used in my packaging is recycled from the mountains of plastic packaging I receive and keep. Postage envelopes and boxes may be new as I don't tend to receive the right sizes to be able to reuse them. Please do try to reuse any of my packaging or recycle sustainably to help protect the environment. Thank you x

Gift wrapping and packaging

I use Original Vintage Papers for my gift wrapping my journals, twine and provide a gift tag. Please let me know if you would like a message included on your gift tag. Traveler's Notebook Inserts, exercise books and card covered notebooks are wrapped in Tissue Paper not Vintage papers (unless otherwise stated).

Shipping

UK Shipping is sent Second Class, with an option to upgrade to First Class signed for.

Non-UK European shipping is sent tacked and signed for.

International Shipping (outside the UK and Europe) is sent either tracked or tracked and signed for. Please specify your preference.

All shipping is with Royal Mail and its associated partners.

Sizing details

All my fabrics, paper and leather are hand cut by me for each book. My Book sizes are:
Tiny - 2.5cm x 82.5m (c1x1 inches)
Mini - 6.5cm x 8.8cm (2.5 x 3.4 inches)
Small (for leather books) - 13 x 9 cm (5 x 3.5 inches) - roughly UK passport size
A6 - 14.8 x 10.5 cm (5.8 x 4.1 inches)
A5 - 21 x 14.8 cm (5.8 x 8.3 inches)

The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
- Custom or personalised orders
- Items on sale
Conditions of return:
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
Postage costs for 'Unclaimed' items: If an item is returned to me by the shipping provider as uncollected or unclaimed the buyer is responsible for the original shipping costs and the costs of reshipping the item.

Custom and personalised orders

Please read the item listing carefully and include all personalisation details in the Personalisation Box (or "Notes to Seller") on check out. I may be unable to complete your order without these details and as such the processing time may be delayed.
Please keep an eye on your Etsy Messages for updates on your purchase and please respond to any questions I may have as quickly as possible.

Processing Times

The processing times shown in the listing is my usual production time to make each journal (Each one is custom made to order). If you need your item by a certain date I may be able to speed up this process if you let me know before ordering.

However I have no control of how long it will take for an item to arrive in the post, unless you are UK based and purchasing "Guaranteed date delivery", and as such I cannot GUARANTEE that your gift will be delivered by a certain date, I will however try my very best to make sure it is and meet any special dates.

International Returns

I do not accept returns on personalised items. However, if you wish to return an unpersonalised item from outside of the UK please repackage the item in the box s as it was sent to you and mark the box "return to sender" and write the return address on the front. This is to ensure that additional customs costs are not charged when the box returns to the UK. Any UK Customs Charges payable as a result of incorrect return packaging will be deducted from your refund.
