Hey all! Welcome to Lavender Lane Books. I have been a reader since I was a kid. Up until the last few years and finding Booktok, I had no idea there was a whole community for book lovers! I thought we were all just doing our antisocial thing and escaping into whatever book we were reading at the moment. Finding out I'm not alone or some weirdo for liking dark romance books has been such a fun journey! Despite the drama that seems to pop up every couple months about how we should "touch grass" if we like that sort of thing. But...to each their own.
I started my shop initially for wedding photographers and personalized wedding items. After enough time of no longer being a wedding photographer myself, I stopped caring about weddings and no longer had the passion for it all like I did when I was photographing weddings. So I decided to re-brand and focus on what I've always had a passion for. Reading! I love designing and making my bookish stickers. I love putting together our blind dates with a book, hoping that it might become your next favorite book. With photography, I never felt like I was a part of the photographer community, and always felt out of place. I did it because I was good at it, not necessarily because I loved it. But with books, and all things bookish, I have loved it on a personal level for as long as I could read. So finally having a bookish shop is like food and comfort for my soul!
