Frequently asked questions
What kind of things do you make?
Two kinds of things. Personalized storybooks and family keepsakes, made to order for your family as printed hardcovers or printable PDFs. And printables for being present, like The Drinking Journal.
Is anything shipped to me?
Only the printed hardcover books. They're printed by our print partner and shipped straight to you, usually arriving about 1-2 weeks after you order. Everything else is a digital file, and nothing arrives in the post.
How long does a personalized order take?
Personalized items are made to order after you check out, so they aren't instant downloads. PDFs (storybooks, crosswords and posters) arrive in your Etsy downloads within 1-2 business days. Hardcover books take 3-5 business days to build and print, then 4-8 business days to ship within the US.
What if I make a mistake in my personalization?
Message us as soon as you notice and we'll fix it before your item is finished or sent to print. We read every order before we start and will message you if anything is unclear.
What do I need to print the PDFs?
Any home printer and standard US Letter paper, or take the file to any print shop. Storybook pages print in landscape, and you can print as many copies as you like for your own family.
What am I allowed to do with the files?
Print them as many times as you like for your own personal use. Please don't resell, share or redistribute them — they're copyrighted work.
Can I get a refund?
Because personalized items are made just for your family and downloads can't be returned, sales are final. But if a file won't open, or a hardcover arrives damaged or misprinted, message me and I'll fix or replace it straight away.
I'm not sure I want to quit drinking. Is The Drinking Journal still for me?
Yes. The first thirty days ask you to change nothing at all — you drink the way you normally do and simply write it down. Part Two has a full section on cutting back rather than quitting.
Is any of this medical advice?
No. These are self-help tools, not treatment, advice or diagnosis. If you shake, sweat, feel nauseated or get confused when you go a day or two without alcohol, stopping suddenly can be dangerous — please see a doctor first.
