I am SEW sorry this review is delayed! I’ve been under the weather in more ways than one. I wanted to LOVE my labels. I wish they had been darker(?) and it should be noted, this was not at all the fault of the seller. Laura was very communicative with me during the entire process. Lesson learned. I’m still using them for my business since I don’t want it to be a loss. Thank you SEW much Laura!

Using the Scientific method to make cute things!

Growing up I always loved figuring out how things worked. My teachers all told me I needed to be an engineer. In college, I majored in Chemistry and landed a great product development job in an engineering group when I graduated. I hated it! Sitting behind a desk in an office by myself was not for me!

Fortunately a science teaching job opened up at a great high school nearby. I applied, got the job, and have loved teaching High School Physics since 2007. Although I love my job, something was missing. Designing and creating lesson plans was not enough. Figuring out how students' minds work is thrilling, but I wanted more.

When my daughter was born in 2011, I knew that I wanted her to be comfortable and look cute. I couldn't afford all of the boutique prices, so I decided I would try to figure out how to make things for her myself. With an engineering mind and the power of YouTube, I have since taught myself to sew, and have become completely involved in the hobby. Beyond that, it's a great way to lessen the salary gap between engineering and teaching.
