Jewelry is one of the oldest forms of self-expression. Whether it's a particular color you adore, a certain style or era you crave, or accentuating your personality that you're after, jewelry is as individual as you are. Keeping all these things in mind, I'm able to bring you a beautiful blend and variety of classic, Altered Authentic Vintage Jewelry as well as a body of work that shows my own passion and aesthetic. I prefer to use genuine gemstones and brilliant metals of Sterling & Gold Filled to showcase them. Wire wrapping is a perfect way to design most of my work and feature the elegance that each gemstone offers. The Swarovski Crystals I use are Vintage, because the colors, cuts and faceting are unsurpassed in any other crystal available today.
Over the past 10 years, I've had the joy to locate and work with such generous Vintage jewelry pieces hailing from the 1930's-1970's. I'm a sleuth for the history of the original artisans who created these pieces. By meticulously altering and restoring their work, I can get each piece back into circulation. Many times these brooches, rings and pendants, need their details to be redefined and their dead/lusterless crystals addressed. I start at the beginning by removing tarnish, dirt, and scratches. Each prong is checked for quality, every mounting and setting is thoroughly inspected, cleaned, and polished inside and out. More magic happens throughout my process and I honestly DO giggle with pride every time and with every piece of jewelry I work with and create. Yes, I am a dork like that, but neither you nor I would have it any other way.
