I am a student of life. In my journey I have discovered many passions. My family is my number one passion and success. My shop is an unapologetic representation of life. A mixture of loves, passions, and story.
My creative outlets range from writing to photography to mixed media encaustics. Writing is an external expression of the internal. A gorgeous photograph is like a visual drug. I fell in love with encaustics due to the smell of the wax, the achievable textures (I'm a texture gal) and the endless possibilities of incorporating found objects, ephemera and the likes.
I am drawn by the story and energy contained in pieces of history, bits of ephemera, rusty & found objects. When we are drawn to something, we have made a connection. When we pass an item on to another, the story and energy gets added to and passed along as well. The items, the energy, the stories, all become an Extension Of who we are.
This shop was created to share art, antiques, and mixed media supplies. I love treasure hunting at junk stores, auctions, estate sales, and in nature. I acquire items that speak to me and have good energy. It is fun to imagine their story. I fall a little bit in love with every item that chooses me.
