Eye artist since 1999. Now creating eye care related fine art!
Hey there! I'm Mark, the artist behind EyeImages. Thanks for visiting my Etsy shop. Here’s my bio, written in 3rd person – because that way, it doesn’t sound all conceited.
Just having fun creating eye care art!
=====================================
Mark creates his artwork from his home studio on the west coast of Florida, where he lives.
Mark's art prints are made with the highest quality paper/ink combination using archival pigment based inks on 100% cotton rag fine art paper. The quality of his prints is one of the most frequent compliments he receives from buyers.
Each print is packaged with firm backing wrapped in a clear acid-free protective sleeve. Larger prints ship rolled into a sturdy art tube.
Many of these Etsy art pieces were born as commissioned art for magazine or book covers (Mark has illustrated more than 65 front covers for ophthalmology and science publications). Now, along with frequent new art, he's repurposed many of these published illustrations into watercolor style and mixed-media fine art prints.
Since 1999, Mark has focused his creative energy on creating and licensing stock and custom ophthalmic illustrations and animations for use in patient education materials, pharmaceutical marketing, eye care industry journals and other publications, product marketing and websites. If you’ve been around eyecare long, you may be familiar with his websites, JirehDesign.com and Eyeillustrations.com.
Until 2020, Mark's "side gig" was working as a research study ophthalmic photographer. He's been doing that for decades. Fun fact: he was a Certified Ophthalmic Technician and Certified Retinal Angiographer.
Mark's typical art workflow starts with a pencil sketch composition, scanned into photoshop where he paints the colors with a digital painting tablet, called a Wacom tablet. The digital paint brush gives him limitless access to brush tips and paint/ink mediums as well as paper texture patterns.

I hope you enjoy looking around my shop as much as I enjoy creating the art.
Thanks for stopping by! ❤️
