Meu nome é Kelly e sou o rosto por trás do FabFunky. Eu fiz e criei coisas toda a minha vida, e tive uma chance em praticamente tudo criativo ... exceto por tricô. Eu não posso tricotar.

Sou um artista totalmente autodidata e um enorme amante dos animais e vivo com quatro cachorros grandes, e meu marido, bem à beira-mar em West Sussex, na costa sul do Reino Unido. Tive o privilégio de viver com muitos animais durante minha vida e aprendi a apreciar todas as suas personalidades únicas e pequenas peculiaridades engraçadas, e é isso que inspira minha obra de arte.

Aqui na minha loja FabFunky eu imprimi meus desenhos originais em páginas de livros antiquários. Estas páginas são removidas de livros que foram impressos na década de 1800 e por isso estão mergulhados na história e são antiguidades genuínas.

Agora também nos ramificamos em outras áreas de decoração para projetar e fazer alguns produtos interiores verdadeiramente incomuns e únicos. Estes incluem travesseiros/almofadas, cerâmicas e abajures.

E é claro que eu sou um amante do absurdo e caprichoso que eu acho que vem através dos meus projetos. Eu me concentro principalmente nos animais e eu levo as características humanas que eu vejo neles e exagerei-os. Às vezes leva a direção de uma imagem divertida, mas outras vezes eu gosto de dar aos meus animais uma elegância inspirada nas eras Regência e Vitoriano.

Gosto de trabalhar em grande detalhe e incluir elementos que nunca serão vistos, mas sei que eles estão lá escondidos lá! Ocasionalmente, alguns dos meus homens têm coisas debaixo dos chapéus ou nos bolsos e eu gosto de trabalhar com camadas secretas de nick-nacks e lembranças que pertencem apenas ao mundo 2D do design que estou criando.

My name is Kelly and I'm the face behind FabFunky. I've made and created stuff all of my life, and have had a go at pretty much everything creative... except for knitting. I can't knit.

I'm a totally self taught artist and a HUGE animal lover and live with four big dogs, and my husband, right by the sea in West Sussex on the south coast of the UK. I've had the privilege of living with many animals during my lifetime and have learned to appreciate all of their unique personalities and funny little quirks, and it's this that inspires my artwork.

Here in my FabFunky shop I print my original designs onto antiquarian book pages. These pages are removed from books that were printed in the 1800's and so they are steeped in history and are genuine antiques.

We have now also branched out into other areas of home decor to design and make some truly unusual and unique interior products. These include pillows/cushions, ceramics and lampshades.

And of course I'm a lover of the absurd and whimsical which I think comes across in my designs. I mainly focus on animals and I take the human characteristics that I see in them and exaggerate them. Sometimes its takes the direction of an amusing image, but other times I like to give my animals an elegance inspired by the Regency and Victorian eras.

I like to work in great detail and include elements that will never be seen, but I know that they are there hidden away there! Occasionally some of my guys have things under their hats or in their pockets and I enjoying working with secret layers of nick-nacks and keepsakes that belong only in the 2D world of the design I am creating.

My foxes check their pocket watches when you're not looking!
