About the shop and crafter 》
As you may have gathered, this shop is named after Saint Mary of Magdala, who is the Patroness of Magdala Made. Most of the pieces you will find in my shop are hand-made by myself, Bobbi (Magdaliní). I'm from a beautiful coastal city called Perth in Western Australia. My husband is Thomas, and he is an American Veteran now working in the civilian world. Please pray for us.
When you purchase from Magdala Made, rest assured knowing that not only are you supporting fellow travelers on the path of Theosis, you will be receiving a piece that is hand-crafted with care. All pieces are personally inspected before carefully and thoughtfully packaged and generally sent well within the processing time unless it is placed during Great Lent or one of the Church fasting periods. In this case, your order will still be prepared and sent out within the processing time shown in the listing and on your order form, but not quite as speedy as non-fasting periods. Your understanding is greatly appreciated!
Some pieces I have had custom-made by a manufacturer, such as our 1 Inch, Stainless Steel Orthodox Pendants. Other pieces have been outsourced, including materials used to create the pieces I offer. All materials and products are carefully inspected for quality and durability. If any piece is not of the highest quality, it will either be highly discounted and listed as such or repurposed where possible to reduce unnecessary waste. I am always striving to create and offer beautiful, respectful, and ethical pieces. Please forgive me where I fail. This shop, along with myself, is a work in progress.
Custom orders are available and welcome! Please let me know if you would like a piece designed for you, be it a set of chotki prayer beads, a prayer bracelet fit to size and preference, or a head covering.
Complimentary re-stringing on
*** Nylon Rope *** Prayer Beads -
I do offer complimentary re-stringing on all prayer beads or chotki that are finished in nylon rope. Regular use will create slack over time, and although this strengthens the heart, this can cause the prayer rope to break. Wrapping the prayer beads around the wrist also leads to loosening. If your Prayer Beads have become loose or have come undone from use, you are welcome to send them back to me, and I will re-string them for you. You are welcome to send me any prayer beads you have purchased from us that are elasticated or that you have sourced elsewhere, and I will re-do them for a small fee. Shipping to and from will be your responsibility, but I am happy to re-string any piece you may have.
