Meet the artist:
What could be harder than trying to make a living as an artist? Well, add 3 kids to the equation, plus a handful of rescued animals, a humble homestead, a splash of stubbornness, and just a dash of denial. That's my guaranteed recipe for success. If you measure your success in family meals, dog kisses, and compost. I do.
I have been sculpting glass since 2000. Always with an emphasis on the human figure, I explored many mediums before being introduced to glass. I then began an apprenticeship with a self-taught glassblower that decided my fate for the next 20 years. Inspired by the possibilities this medium has to offer, I applied lampworking techniques to my ongoing figural studies and jewelry designs.
I enjoy adorning strong, beautiful women with empowering symbolism and positive energy. Knowing that my glasswork is held sacred as a personal talisman for so many different people all over the world is my proudest accomplishment, aside from my own 3 wonderful children.
