A Family-run Farm Growing Sustainable, Organic Garlic

Fast Hitch Farm is a beautiful 45-acre sustainably-run hilltop farm located in Whiting, Vermont. The original farm house and barn were erected in 1790 and stand as a testament to the ingenuity and resolve of the region’s early settlers. In more recent history, the land was cropped by a neighboring organic dairy farm until The Donners purchased the property in 2012. Fast Hitch Farm sustainably produces a variety of VOF Certified Organic garlic. At Fast Hitch Farm, we strive to make sustainable use of our entire natural resource base, not just our cropland. One of our guiding principles is “Everything Contributes,” an attempt to capture our dedication to conserving resources here on the farm and to minimizing off-farm inputs and waste. Our fields, forests, barns and ponds are all part of the Fast Hitch Farm agro-ecosystem. We keep the farm healthy so it can provide our customers with natural healthy products that could only come from Vermont.
