Please measure your child's foot before purchasing. Measure the bottom of their foot from the heel to the furthest tip of the longest toe.

For best measurement, place their foot on a piece of paper and trace the foot, then measure the longest two points of the tracing.

Add your desired wiggle room to the foot measurement to select the sole size.

I recommend a quarter inch of wiggle room, no more than a half inch.

All measurements are approximate and may very sightly to an eighth of an inch. Leather thickness may alter fit of shoe, thinner leather will fit looser where thicker leather may fit tighter. Our standard leather thickness is 3.5oz.



Soft sole shoes are pediatric recommended for little ones learning to walk! With hard sole shoes their feet cannot curl for the necessary balance, with soft soles it mimics bare feet which is ideal for first steps. And for children up to 5 years of age, a soft sole is recommended for encouraging proper stride and posture when walking, two things that a hard sole shoe can alter.


The older the child, the more wear they will produce.
