I received this little feather in the mail in what seemed like a matter of hours ;) The seller is the sweetest person I have ever worked with. And the picture of the item is lovely, but it can't compare to seeing it in person! The detail she puts into her work is astronomical, such amazing talent. The package was so personal, too, a sweet card from the seller and some lovely giftwrap for its recipient. It was like getting something from a friend. Thank you for the generosity and the feather will be forever enjoyed by my fiancee.

This is absolutely beautiful. Great idea!! The only issue I had was one of the feathers was blocking the view of the Flamingo, so we had to take it out and reset it. Was so glad we were able to do it.

Framing some of my little things. I use all professional tools and materials, including acid-free tape, and matting.
Doing a demo at the Mississippi Craft Center, where I'm a member of the Mississippi Craftsmen's Guild.

I love these tiny ornaments. They're slightly flat on the bottom so that they can sit or be hung on the tree.

I love feathers!

I paint on feathers because I like how the shape, size, and specific demands of feathers challenges me creatively, focusing my attention on detailed, mindful, miniature work. Like watercolor, there is little room for error. Once my brush touches the feather, it cannot be erased. You will regularly find parrot, peacock, guinea fowl, and turkey feathers in my work. Most of the feathers come from small family farms that raise free-range fowl specifically for feathers that the birds have naturally dropped. I have personally met many of the birds that provide the canvases for my acrylic paint. Living and working in Ridgeland, Mississippi, I have been a member of the Craftsmen’s Guild of Mississippi since the summer of 2012.

Sending a gift? I would be happy to do the wrapping for you, free of charge. Just drop me a note (as you check out) to let me know you would like your purchase gift-wrapped. And if you would like to include a card, please let me know what it should say.
