Handmade, upcycled felted wool handbags, accessories and plush
Welcome to FeltSewGood where you'll find eco-friendly items made from repurposed textiles and hand printed fabrics. Many items are made from recycled fabrics such as wool and cashmere sweaters, reclaimed woolen garments and denim. Most materials are limited or vintage and my creations are original designs made from patterns I draft myself so my handbags, accessories and plush are mostly one of a kind. My hand printed textiles are made from my own hand carved stamps printed on natural fabrics.
I have loved to make things since I was a child and I'm still inspired by the creativity behind all handmade crafts. I especially love sewing and needlecrafts.
All my handbags are lined. Most are interfaced for extra shape and durability. Stress points, such as handles, are double stitched. For handbags with flat bottoms, I add a stiff plastic canvas between the wool and the lining for extra stability.
I love working with found cashmere sweaters to create plush, stuffed animals. The cashmere makes a wonderfully soft and luxurious feeling soft toy.
All items are handmade by me with love and attention to detail.
