Quality never goes out of style
I guess my love of vintage started as a young girl. I remember watching my mom lovingly refinish furniture or hearing my dad tell stories about mementos from his childhood. I remember my grandmother giving me my great grandmother's necklace to celebrate my wedding. These items had stories and were tied to memories and lives well-lived.
My love of thrifting and estate sales came later. It started first as a way to save money after my husband lost his job. It became a passion as I admired the quality items and learned there was a vast treasure trove of forgotten gems out there waiting to be discovered and given new life. To this day, I always look at these objects and imagine the memories made and lives well-lived.
In particular, I was drawn to vintage ladies' accessories and handbags. So many were classically styled and very well made. Some simply needed a little TLC to make lovely once again. Thus began my Etsy shop and my collection of bags, purses, and other vintage items.
As I find these treasures, I always carefully inspect, clean, condition, and repair (if needed) each item before listing them for sale. I use specially made products for cleaning and conditioning leather, and never use shoe polish on handbags (which can rub off and ruin your clothes).
Since vintage items are, by definition, pre-owned, I try to write honest listings, noting any flaws or defects so that my customers know what they are purchasing. It brings me great joy to know that these once forgotten treasures have found new homes, new memories, and new lives around the world. Thank you for visiting my shop.
