How it all began...
Fern & Nettle was started by Jenny Aicher, although sometimes she enlists the help of her husband. She has been a "product junkie" her whole life. (Spending her childhood allowance money on Petite Nate by Jean Nate in the 80s, managing a makeup/cosmetics counter in her college and early post-college years, then making a gradual move toward organic and sustainable living)
The company started with handmade goat milk soaps after Jenny fell in love with the craft in 2012. A Montessori school teacher by day, she was intitally intrigued by the soap-making process while on a field trip with her students to Old World Wisconsin. She saw a historic demonstration of soap making, and thought, "I should do that!" And then she did.
We have added many more body and home products to the mix and travel to local craft and art shows. Being passionate about healthy and organic living, we want to share our natural, handmade products with our friends, family and local community.
