Announcement
Welcome to Fiber Curio and Sundries, a small company focused on innovative ways to utilize US small farm fiber. I purchase the fleeces featured here from small family farms that continue to uphold a great agricultural tradition. While there are many options in the fiber world to purchase your spinning fiber and yarns, I hope you will give these special fibers a try.
Some things you should know about these fiber products:
1. They come from small batches, often 10# or less, Thus, even though I may re-do a basic formula, fiber does not match from batch to batch. It's very important you purchase the entire amount of spinning fiber or yarn you might need for a project because there is no way to match later.
2. I do a test spin and often a test knit on every yarn and every roving batch. I want to be sure of its quality and be able to personally address how it handles and what it might be best used for. A significant number of these fibers have been used in my own fiber art, including a number in felting projects.
3. Most listings now come as shipping included for customers in the US or shipping included for customers purchasing a total of 35.00 or more. However, effective 7/22/19, I will be charging a restocking fee of 5.00 for all returns. In addition, if multiple items are purchased as shipping included, but their is a significant overage of actual shipping costs, I will refund the amount minus my packing and handling costs.

5 out of 5 starsLovely raw wool ready for processing! This Navajo-churro wool includes both the soft undercoat (black) and longer guard hairs (black fading to white) making for an interesting texture contrast when spinning. Note - as raw wool, this needed to be scoured and rinsed (and for me, combed or carded) before spinning!

5 out of 5 starsBeautiful fleece with low vm and cleaned up beautifully after washing. This should make a beautiful yarn for my wool study project.

5 out of 5 starsInteresting new fiber for me to try out. Scouring was straightforward. Now I just need to process it so I can spin! Thanks!

5 out of 5 starsThe wool received is very clean, no VM. Lovely. I didn't know what wool qualities to expect but it seems very soft with nice crimp. I look forward to working with this wool sample.
