Books have always been a part of my life.
Books make me happy, and candles that remind me of books are my favorites. So I make candles with fragrances, colors and often even glitter to take me back to my favorite stories. Each of my candles also includes a quote label on the side to help us to remember what it was about that book that made us feel.
My name is Melissa and I make all of the pretty candles and take pretty photos of them. My wonderful husband does all of the boring stuff. We have a beautiful daughter who also love to help.
About one year after my daughter was born I started having major health issues. I had always dealt with my health to a certain extent but this seemed different and it didn't go away. After a lot of testing and seeing some amazing doctors I was diagnosed with a lung disability. I was told that eventually I would probably require a transplant. I am sharing this part of my story with you to say I know what it means to need to escape in another story now and then. With out my amazing family, my faith, and the adventures I am able to have when I read I am not sure that the world would seem as beautiful as it does to me.
