I bought 2 of each four different nib types and I love them all. Beautiful packaging and a treat to receive!

Wanted to take a picture of my workspace as I get ready to address an envelope for a nib order. It's messy and ink stained but I love my little craft space.

About

Living in the real world, Seeing in the Fictive.

Fictive is another word for fiction, except that I think it sounds much more mysterious than just the word fiction. I have always been a very creative person and it's influenced everything I've done with my life from my day job as a computer programmer, to my more artistic endeavors like calligraphy.

Before I got into calligraphy I had been writing with fountain pens for a long time. I eventually picked up a stub nib for the pen, which means I could write broad-style calligraphy with it. I started doing research and found where someone had made a gold ink to write with - but it could only be used with a dip pen.

So I picked up all the supplies for pointed pen calligraphy and I haven't been able to put it down since! I don't even touch that stub nib for my fountain pen anymore, turns out broad-style calligraphy isn't as much my thing, but I love love writing with the pointed tips like most of the vintage pieces in my shop. I've found I love to try new vintage nibs, but after the first try, most of the time I still go to whatever is my current favorite nib, and the vintage ones sit unused... so I thought it was best if I sold them again to other calligraphers who could use them and enjoy them.
