Ciao a tutti, sono Niharika, la designer e creatrice di tutti gli orecchini in carta quitellata che troverete a Filigratti. Mi concentro sulla creazione di orecchini boho unici in design moderni e minimalisti. Sono sempre stato incline verso orecchini di dichiarazione artistica più che vestiti o scarpe. Sento che un paio di orecchini davvero eleganti attirano l'attenzione sul tuo viso ed è lì che voglio che sia l'attenzione. ; )

Adoro disegnare orecchini per chi ama indossare pezzi di fantasia non solo artistici e unici, ma anche di classe e sofisticati, che accentuino la loro personalità. Non credono nell'indossare gioielli noiosi, credono nell'indossare un'OPERA D'ARTE!

Quindi ecco come tutto è iniziato....
Fin dall'infanzia sono stato innamorato del crafting, specialmente della carta. Coglierei ogni opportunità per fare qualcosa per compleanni, anniversari e progetti scolastici. Ho realizzato cornici per foto, supporti per penne, maschere, campanelli a vento e un sacco di biglietti di auguri.
In realtà ho scoperto la tecnica della carta da arrotolare per creare forme e motivi da solo. Tuttavia non sapevo che fosse una forma d'arte a tutti gli effetti nota come quilling o filigrana di carta fino a un paio di anni fa.
Ho fatto rakhis per mio fratello ogni anno per Rakshabandhan. Rakshabandhan è una festa indiana in cui le sorelle legano un filo sacro (che è anche abbellito) intorno al polso dei loro fratelli e pregano per il loro benessere.
Per fare il rakhi, ho dipinto alcuni fogli di carta, l'ho tagliato a strisce e arrotolato in bobine. Si è rivelato essere un bellissimo rakhi. Più di un anno dopo mi sono imbattuto in un orecchino quilled fai da te e ho pensato che avesse usato la stessa tecnica che avevo usato io per fare il rakhi. Solo dopo aver letto il post ho saputo che si chiamava quilling. E come si suol dire, il resto è storia.

Grazie a Etsy, posso perseguire il mestiere che mi piace, più ampiamente. I miei disegni di orecchini sono colorati e femminili, per lo più ispirati alle forme, in particolare cerchi e spirali. Adoro l'elegante fascino che le perle conferiscono ai gioielli. Quindi, vedrai un sacco di perle nelle mie creazioni. Sono estremamente particolare riguardo alla qualità e alla pulizia dei miei gioielli. Fare gioielli quilled è un mestiere che richiede molto tempo. Richiede molta pazienza e precisione. Ottenere che ciascuna delle forme e delle dimensioni della bobina sia congruente l'una con l'altra è molto cruciale per l'aspetto e la robustezza dei gioielli. Anche un piccolo errore significherebbe che dovrei ricominciare da zero, e questo accade molte più volte di quanto mi piacerebbe ammettere. Ma alla fine, ne vale la pena il tempo e lo sforzo.

È una gioia per me poter creare gioielli colorati e squisiti, che possono essere indossati tutto il giorno con assoluta facilità. Spero che tu trovi qualcosa che ti piaccia nel mio negozio. Grazie!

I love designing earrings for people who love wearing statement pieces that are not only artistic and unique but also classy and sophisticated, that accentuates their personality. They don't believe in wearing any boring jewelry, they believe in wearing a WORK OF ART!

So here's how it all began....
Since childhood I have been in love with crafting, specially with paper. I would seize every opportunity to make something for birthdays, anniversaries & school projects. I have made photo frames, pen stands, masks, wind chimes & plenty of greeting cards.
I actually discovered the technique of rolling paper to make shapes and patterns myself. However I didn't know that it was a full fledged art form known as quilling or paper filigree until a couple of years back.
I have been making rakhis for my brother every year for Rakshabandhan. Rakshabandhan is an Indian festival where sisters tie a sacred thread (which is also embellished) around their brothers' wrist and pray for their well being.
For making the rakhi, I painted a few sheets of paper, cut it into strips & rolled it into coils. It turned out to be a beautiful rakhi. More than a year later I came across a quilled earring diy & I thought she's used the same technique I had used to make the rakhi. Only upon reading the post did I get to know it was called quilling. And as they say, the rest is history.

Thanks to Etsy, I can pursue the craft I enjoy, more extensively. My earring designs are colorful & feminine, mostly inspired by shapes, specially circles & spirals. I love the elegant charm pearls impart to jewelry. So, you'll see a lot of pearl beads in my creations. I am extremely particular about the quality & neatness of my jewelry pieces. Making quilled jewelry is a time intensive craft. It requires a lot of patience & precision. Getting each of the coil's shape & size to be congruent to one another is very crucial to the look & sturdiness of the jewelry. Even a small error would mean I'd have to start from scratch, and that happens many more times than I'd like to admit. But at the end, it's all worth the time and effort.
