Canadians: Etsy has changed GST & HST tax remittence. We are in the process of changing listings. If you see no tax collected, you haven't paid it, and we will send you an invoice. If HST or provincial tax appears, you have. Non-HST provinces will have the provincial tax collected by Etsy refunded for items that have had the tax status updated. Please be patient with the process, as our listings have to be changed individually. We apologize for the aggravation, it is beyond our control.

Please note that some items for sale on our pages may have inaccurate pricing or shipping or altered descriptions. Due to this, we may have to cancel sales to permit the listing to be corrected. These changes were done by someone hacking into our listings.

CONDITION OF SALE:: Jewellery metals are tested and gemstones checked under magnification and with a Presidium gem tester. Customer accepts our description based upon these tests which we have made and mentioned. All purchases are final. There are no refunds or returns. By purchasing here, you confirm that you understand and accept those conditions.

US CUSTOMERS:
Items are held at the post office for secure delivery to customer. Courier options require the purchaser's signature. Items not picked up and returned to us are not an acceptable return and are subject to restocking charges shipping and expenses deducted.
IF CUSTOMER REFUSES HOLD AT POST OFFICE, OR ALTERS THAT CONDITION AT THE DELIVERY SIDE IN ANY WAY, THAT IS INTERFERENCE IN SECURE DELIVERY AND WE ARE NO LONGER RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ITEM LOSS OR MIS-DELIVERY OF ANY ITEM FOR ANY REASON. It is then the responsibility of customer to prove they did not over-ride US Post delivery conditions. Buyer agrees that any items returned that have been damaged or altered in any way will receive no refund.

Please note that emails sent with any unrequested images or links of any type sent to us or added to emails will be discussed with Etsy and deleted.

Contact for orders is through Etsy email only. Any orders made that are cancelled due to lack of reply will automatically have any reorders cancelled, and will be reported to Etsy.

We do not mail purchases to mail forwarding offices, and reserve the right to cancel sales that are requested to an address not connected to the buyer. Items sent to an unconfirmed alternate address by customer request are not our responsibility, and not subject to a refund.

Fiona is a lifelong collector, and nearly a life-long antiques-dealer, at 40+ years in the antique business. Mark is a music collector and music specialist. We specialize in fine antiques, vintage jewellery, silver and appealing or just plain interesting vintage items. Antique and vintage jewellery is a main specialty, but with no desire to be boxed in to one category of antiques, never be surprised by what else may appear on our pages. Shipping from Canada varies depending on your country and location - please contact us for an accurate shipping quote. Postal services and private courier companies require a confirmable telephone number prior ro shipment.

BREAKAGE: Items are shipped by Canada Post within Canada and to the US. We are not responsible for breakage of items either way, as Canada Post does not offer insurance for breakage, only for loss. If the purchaser gets additional third party insurance, please note details in emails done though the Etsy email system. We will help with third party insurance if buyer requests it. Third party insurance paid for by buyer.

We pack with care and proper packaging materials, based upon box or foam-lined envelopes with additional interior packaging. If the purchaser wants additional packaging, we will oblige when possible, with all additional parcel rates to be paid by the purchaser if any is applicable. We use recycled or recyclable packaging if suitable and available.

We list items here to sell, so all sales should be considered final and all items sold here should be considered non-returnable. Any consideration of return must be something we agree to. Returns must be done only after emailing us through Etsy first and upon our agreement to accept a return. An requests must be received immediately upon customer's confirmed receipt of item (the same day). A receiving our agreement to accept the item back. We must be contacted the day the item is received without exception. and any return must be done at the the speed of shipping we request and that the buyer pays for.
All shipping and any additional fees we have incurred and a restocking fee of 25 per cent will be deducted from any refund. We will provide specific details for any return being considered.

There are items in which no return option will be considered:
There are no returns of precious and semi precious metal and gemstone items. There are no jewelry returns accepted of any classification. The precious metals are tested and the stones are checked by a gemologist or on a recognized stone tester before they are listed by us, unless we indicate more than one gem stone possibility in the listing. Items with more than one stone possibility cannot be returned for that reason. Some items have appraisals. Appraisal will be mailed separately for buyer security.
No returns of costume jewellery, flatware or books.
Mechanical items are sold on an as-is basis, even as if listed as working, as we usually do not have a way of determining or guaranteeing their actual maintenance or usage history, which is rarely available to us. We can only guess at that based on appearance which is not a guarantee of any future working condition. There are no returns accepted for any of these items.

Any items we do agree to accept the return of will not include the shipping rates amounts either way. We must agree that the item is the same item and in the same condition we sent it when returned, or buyer agrees to forfeit the refund or any part of the refund. Any returns must follow our return protocol, or buyer agrees to pay any fees caused by an improper return. Any accepted returns are subject to a re-stocking fee. Items returned because they are not picked up are considered a return not agreed upon, and will receive a lesser refund reflecting a minimum of 25 per cent restocking fee, and any applicable non-recoverable fees including shipping. import charges and additional time spent dealing with this. The final determination of accepting a return belongs to Fiona Kenny Antiques, not buyer opinion. We do not consider any statement of the item not be what you thought as a reason, as items are listed with size and pictures, which are part of the description. We will not consider returns in most situations. Please inquire before purchasing if this is a consideration.

We do have a few conditions for accepted returns. The request for return must be made the day of your receiving the item, or day of receipt, there are no exceptions. We must agree to the return. Item must be in the mail after our agreement of return in no later than two business days from receiving the item, and at our preferred shipping, which is the financial responsibility of the buyer. Please note that the refund is for the purchase price only, shipping and fees and a 25 per cent restocking fee will be deducted.

Returns we have agreed to done with any substitution, damage or alteration of the item we sent will have no refund. Such fraud will be reported to Etsy and relevant police departments in region sent.

Shipping fees either way are not refunded. Refunds will not be issued until the item is returned to us and and checked - we must agree that the item has been returned in the exact original unaltered item we sent and in the condition in which it was shipped to you. The parcel must be labelled as we indicate in our email agreeing to the return, and as a Returned Goods. Items returned that are not what we sent or in the condition we sent it receive no refund, and will start a fraud inquiry with the police in the region it was shipped. Refunds will be issued promptly upon our receipt of and examination of the item with a restocking fee deducted, but not until then.

Secure Delivery: We ship items by tracked packet or expedited parcel. Items will be held at the post office for the customer to pick up, and any courier options will require the actual purchaser signature. Our postal option includes direct notification to the customer by Canada Post or courier service, so the customer is provided with tracking and shipment information by us on Etsy or minimally through the postal or courier company. If the parcel fails to arrive due to re-direction of the parcel shipment by the customer or having the parcel shipped to an address not attached to the customer for any reason, the purchaser absolves the seller entirely from providing any recompense or refund to the customer, without exception.
