American duties are now prepaid

Hello flower friends,

This is a note to my amazing American customers. Firstly I want to thank you for your patience while I've gotten used to the new tariffs and how they work.

I am so pleased to be able to say that I am now able to prepay all tariffs so there will be no more delays or confusion with your packages. From now on everything will be sent tracked with Royal Mail and all duties will be paid so your packages can make their way straight to you without the long waits at customs.

I've got lots of new orchids and pretty things on the way for you guys to enjoy but in the meantime please get in touch if there is anything specific that you would like me to make.

One of my favourite flowers to press and use is wild parsnip. If you look closely you'll see it in lots of my pieces
This is my trusty press that my wonderful fiancé made me ❤ I would be lost without it

Hi there, my name is Amelia and due to my holistic upbringing I have always been fascinated by nature. As a small child, anywhere we went I would have to bring several found treasures home with me. My pockets would be brimming with beach glass, flowers, pine cones and any other wonder that had caught my eye. I am still exactly the same aged 34, only now I know how to preserve my little treasures.

The First Flower was conceived from my need to preserve my Mother's funeral flowers and resin seemed like the best option. I then combined my new skill with my love of foraging and my background in sculpture and The First Flower was born.

I live next to the gower peninsula, which is an area of outstanding natural beauty. This is where I can be found foraging for the best Welsh botanicals to use in my pieces.

The rest of the flowers I use are grown at home by my wonderful fiancé Danny, who just happens to be a horticulturalist- how lucky am I?!
