Yes. Every listing has a personalisation field at checkout where you can request hand-embroidered initials (up to 3 letters), free of charge. The embroidery is done by hand by our atelier team in New Delhi and adds 3–5 days to dispatch.

We also offer a Custom Size option on every listing for made-to-measure pieces — message us through Etsy after ordering with your bust, waist, and hip measurements (in inches or cm) and we'll cut the piece to your specifications. Custom Size and monogrammed pieces are non-returnable, so please confirm details before ordering.

We carry XS to 8XL — one of the widest size ranges of any Indian designer label. The size chart on every listing maps each size to UK, US, and EU equivalents and lists bust, waist, and hip measurements in cm and inches.

If you're between sizes, we recommend sizing up. Our kaftans, tunics, and dresses are cut with generous ease, so the fit is forgiving. For closer-fitting pieces (jackets, fitted tops), the size chart is more critical — measure yourself before ordering.

Beyond 8XL or for any non-standard fit, choose Custom Size at checkout (see Custom and personalised orders).

All First Resort pieces are dry-clean only. Hand embroidery, beadwork, mirror work, and crystal embellishments are not suited to machine washing or even gentle hand wash — water and agitation can loosen the embellishments and shrink the fabric.

Take your piece to a professional dry cleaner who handles delicate hand-embroidered garments. Store on a padded hanger to preserve the silhouette, and keep in a breathable cotton bag away from direct sunlight. Avoid spraying perfume directly on the embroidery.

Every order is dispatched in our signature First Resort packaging — a branded tissue-wrapped fold inside a sturdy outer box, with a care card and the size chart enclosed. The packaging is gift-ready as it arrives, suitable for handing on directly without rewrapping.

If you'd like a personalised gift note included, message us through Etsy after placing your order with the recipient's name and the message text — we'll print and enclose it at no extra charge.
