FlasksPlus Was Created From A Dream! Established and Opened in 1998!
While growing up and watching my father's successful run as an entrepreneur, it has always been a dream of mine to start and run my own business as well. It has been exciting to watch as my family has also gotten involved in various beneficial ways as well. I am the owner and founder of FlasksPlus.com, but my wife continues to do our bookkeeping, while my two sons, aged 15 and 16, help with much of the prep and finishing work.
This little hobby-turned business has been very instrumental in creating job opportunities for our sons, during a time when finding work for kids this age is impossible! Our oldest son has nearly saved enough to buy his first car, completely by himself, while also developing his own antique rifle collection (he's a huge history fan). Our youngest has developed quite an extensive knife collection for himself, adding unique knife after unique knife to what is already an eye-catching assortment. Know that when you purchase through us, that you are helping to support a very American family in Colorado, who all believe very strongly in earning everything we obtain.
My wife and I both still hold down "regular day jobs," to make sure we can still maintain our every day expenses, while still raising our two sons through high school, and into college. Our combined dream is to someday be able to afford to leave our day jobs, and focus entirely on this family venture. Until then, we are a very busy couple, working regular jobs, and raising two teenagers, while maintaining and growing this small family business at the same time.
We purchase our products in bulk quantities we can afford from a distributor/manufacturer out of Texas. Once here, we prep our flasks ourselves, and add color to them, based on what our customers request. Me create approximately 98% of our flask orders from scratch, since our customers can ask for everything from color choice, to custom text and their own images. After making them in the color(s) they request, we then laser them with what our customers want on their flasks. After being lasered, we add 2 layers of clearcoat sealer, which helps to protect the color and lasered areas.
This entire process from start to finish takes anywhere from 2-4 days. During our busier times, it can take from 4-6 business days for us to get an order shipped. Considering these are custom made products that come through the mail, we always hope that our customers do realized that they cannot be created overnight and shipped within a day of being ordered.
