Family Favors Turns Hobby Into Career
Dear ETSY Customer,
There was a time when I was a busy Interior Designer; creating and delegating and dealing with contractors. Then I met my first born son and that all changed. You know the story: Girl meets boy, girl marries boy, girl falls in love with her son and stays home to hug and kiss him all day.
So, with all of my new found "free time," I started getting lots of requests for favors. Those favors started to compound and I eventually found myself creating $5K in retail value worth of baby shower invites, cards and wedding invitations and knew I needed to make this a business. Now, I get to hug and kiss both of my kids all day, help my husband renovate our own 60 year old "Fixer Upper," (which is a whole 'nother story in itself) and make cute, fun and elegant handcrafted cards for you!
If you can't tell, I'm a little different. I love texture and cut images and incorporate that into my designs. And while I do love a printed image on cotton paper (I mean, who doesn't), I also love working with the negative space to create something unexpected. My goal here is to produce beautiful works of art that can be sent through the mail to brighten someone's day or make a glorious announcement.
