I work as an event designer in South Carolina and love to host friends and create tablescapes for fun. While the large scale events I help implement are so grand, there's a passion for me in the smaller details of hosting friends and loved ones in your home. My love of entertaining comes from my Mother and Grandmother and I've always been fascinated with the shiny and sparkly that went along with entertaining. On the other hand, my Grandmother taught me at an early age that you don't save the "good stuff" for just special occasions. Every morning when you had breakfast at her house you sat at the big dining room table with a placemat, a linen napkin, and your first course was half an orange served on the good china with a fancy grapefruit spoon.
So many people save their "good stuff" and rarely if ever, use it. This makes me sad and wonder who they are waiting on to use it? Are your friends and loved ones not good enough to celebrate with the "good stuff"? Are you waiting on The Queen to visit?
My hope in creating these pieces is that you will mix them with your own tablescape treasures, grab your friends and Flock to the Table to celebrate everyday!
