From scientific research to a creative family business!
Right after my studies in Physics, I left academic research to start my own creative business. It was in 2014. Since I'm a little girl, I love creating with my ten fingers and above all, I love paper. But I would never have thought that I could turn my passion into a full-time job. Nevertheless beautiful things happen in life when you dare!
My change of life was born from the desire to do beautiful things with my hands and to bring the symbolism of nature back into the house. The origami animals, immortalized under a glass bell, evoke the simple and pure interest we have for nature, like the curiosity cabinets.
To create new animals, I think of a natural environment and select the most representative species. Then I look for beautiful traditional origami models or develop partnerships with origamists. I also design my own models, and I don't hesitate to mix folded and cut paper.
The origami paper combines finesse and resistance. It is time-proof. The bases are manufactured in a family business in the Vendée region with certified sustainable development wood. Naturalist labels and origami are lovingly folded in the workshop in Seine et Marne!
Since 2019, I have been working with my brother Edouard, in his bright studio, overlooking fields and a beautiful 19th century castle. Professional photographer and unfailing support, Edouard has been present since the beginning of the adventure through the photos of the creations. Today, he's a photographer and a craftsman. He gives his sister the opportunity to realize two dreams: working with her family and in the countryside.
