Try Pressing Flowers!
The idea to press flowers literally popped into my head one day, along with a strong feeling that I needed to get going on this now! I had always grown flowers in gardens, but had never thought of pressing them until the sentence went through my head: you need to try pressing flowers!
It came out of the blue! What's increasingly interesting is that all of the answers on what to do and how to it just came to me as well!
I seemed to know exactly what to buy and exactly what to do when I started pressing flowers and creating art on Basswood; I've now expanded to create flower art on other mediums like glass, stone, and canvas.
I'd love to do this full time, but I'm not quite there yet! Aside from pressing flowers, I am a writer, published author, and voice over actor. I work with off - track race horses at a non - profit organization dedicated to helping to find homes for ex - performance horses who are no longer needed or wanted, and providing rehabilitation (first) for those who have been injured.
