Nine Year Anniversary
Flower Press has been selling on Etsy for nine years now!
Trained as a graphic designer I worked in book and web design for a number of years.
While my children were small I discovered Gocco printing and was drawn into the beauty of screenprinting on a small scale, that grew until I began printing on fabric. My textiles feature all natural fabrics printed with beautiful original designs.
I teach workshops locally in screenprinting and rubber stamping, sharing my skills with beginners to help unlock the joy of craft for everyone!
Much of my art is inspired by my great love of the natural world. As well as graphic design, I've studied horticulture and I'm a keen gardener.
The name Flower Press speaks of my background as a book designer as well as my love of mother nature, who to me is the ultimate designer!
In the last few years I've branched into digital printing, again with water based inks. I like seeing my patterns in repeat, and making a range of designs to sew and quilt with. See my range of children's prints, as well as quilting fabrics in floral and geometric designs.
On top of that my new love is ceramics, which I have just started to list in the shop. Working in my home studio I enjoy throwing a range of small vases, plant pots and bowls, often with natural motifs.
My homewares complement each other and make a coherent homewares range. I love using them all in my own house and I hope you will too.
