5 out of 5 starsIt's been a while since I ordered from you. I was so happy to find you again on Etsy! Thanks so much. Your slates are amazing. I have had mine for several years out in the Florida sun and they hold up great.

4 out of 5 starsI have ordered several of these sign stands before and they were quite a bit bigger than what I recently got. My recent sign stands is almost 2 inches shorter than my previous stand. It is still good quality just be sure you measure, so that the size will be right for you. I don’t want to bother with returning it but it is not what I expected.

Slates are actually old roofing shingles that we cut to size. -
Each slate is cleaned and scraped then painted with a background color of exterior paint with primer. -
I usually paint multiple slates at one time and use a pattern that I have designed. -
When the slates are finished I give them at least 3 coats of exterior clear coat for their all weather display. -
I hand paint the personalization on each slate.

Frequently asked questions
Can I display my slate sign outdoors?
Yes....The slate is ready to display inside or out. It has been sprayed with a non-yellowing, UV resistant, clear gloss indoor/outdoor spray paint. We do suggest that if you display your slate outdoors that you continue to spray the slate once or twice a year to keep the paint fresh and new looking. Any good quality clear gloss spray paint can be purchased at your local hardware store. I prefer the Rust-o-leum brand.
What is a slider slate?
A slider slate slides into a wrought iron slate holder (sold separately). If you prefer a hanging slate we will drill holes upon request and add a rope. Choose which one you prefer at check out.
Why is the slate and iron holder sold separately?
The slate signs are interchangeable for every season and holiday so they are sold separately. You only need to buy a wrought iron holder once. This way you can add to your collection of slates to interchange throughout the year and you don't have to buy a holder every time.
Why do you need my cell number?
I hand paint the slate signs to order and sometimes have a question about design, colors or personalization. If I ask a question through Etsy messages and don't get a response within a day or 2, I then email you directly to your email address. Unfortunately customers (especially customers who sign in as a guest) either do not receive my question through Etsy messaging or don't check their emails regularly. It is always helpful if I have your cell number and can text you for a quick answer. Please write your cell number in the "Personalization Box" or in "Note to Seller".
