Hi! My name is Kari and I welcome you. This is a spin - off shop from my original Etsy shop, Kari Goodwin Quilts, where I still sell organic quilts and housewares. Even though I still love the art of quilt making very much, I am constantly trying to make my business a more authentic reflection of my whole self, to fine tune my skills, and refine my vision for my crafting furture. Lately, I have been reflecting a lot about the responsibility I feel to broaden my product line to include more eco-friendly items and materials. I want to be a crafter and artisan, but one with a mission to use environmentally responsible materials to make environmentally responsible items...Whether it be a quilt or a cotton lunch bag, I want to love what I do, but also feel REALLY good about it too! I had a customer the other day purchase a set of cotton napkins, and they sent me a message saying, "Thank you! This means no more paper towels in this house!" I felt so proud in that moment and so grateful for my customers! I want to provide a variety of choices for folks who want to replace more of their disposable items with hand crafted, stylish, reusable ones. Even in this, I hold myself to my highest level of craftsmanship. My sweet Mother, Linda, has taken ownership of Folks Linen since 2015 and runs it beautifully under only the occasional guidance from me. She is the one who makes, ships, and responds to all things Folks Linen, which has been a big step in growing this into a true family business.
